Our Goal
Our primary goal is to support Liberian women and children displaced by the civil war and to help rebuild the country. LDA believes that a positive change in the academic and economic status of women can allow them greater access to resources, opportunities and representation in the decision-making process. Their improved role should contribute to continued peace in Liberia.
To achieve this goal LDA will raise funds to rebuild and run schools, hire staff, pay salaries, and host seminars to build awareness about HIV/AIDS and human rights. In Sweden LDA will arrange workshops and seminars to increase awareness about the difficult living conditions in Liberia and to get support from the community and aid agencies.
